Key responsibilities & impact

Provides technical oversight and subject matter expertise for laboratories
Provides day-to-day support and analytical oversight of instrument and method development and troubleshooting
Recommends improvements in analytical equipment, procedures, techniques, and method development
May perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on liquid, solid, and sludge samples for organic, inorganic and/or metal constituents
May prepare technical reports based on the interpretation of analyzed data
Provides technical leadership to less experienced chemists and technicians

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in chemistry or related science from an accredited college or university and professional related work experience
Experience working in a nuclear facility or in a laboratory using radioactive material
