About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions for technical problems or project objectives using SRMC engineering methodologies and requirements.
  • Assume technical responsibility for one or more phases of a program and/or ownership for unit operations within processing facilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative improvements to existing processes.
  • Provide project engineering and facility engineering support.
  • Develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Control Logic Diagrams, Instrument Loop Drawings, Segment Drawings, Instrument Location and Installation Drawings, and technical calculations.
  • Select and size instruments and control valves.
  • Develop procurement requirements, specifications and data sheets.
  • Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and commercial grade dedication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with professional engineering experience
  • Knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs.
  • Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards.
  • Experience with DCS and PLC interfaces.
  • Proficiency with 2D MicroStation v8 CADD.
  • Ability to perform walkdowns.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment with multiple demands and priorities.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
