About the role
- Administers and provides leadership and technical guidance for execution and reporting of contractor assurance requirements for the facility
- Lead and execute facility-level Contractor Assurance System (CAS) execution for environment, safety and health, quality assurance, integrated safety management, safeguards and security, cyber security, and emergency management
- Provide subject matter expertise to facility leadership on Requirements Flowdown and Procedure Implementation, Assessment Activities, Causal Analysis and Corrective Actions, Lessons Learned, Employee Engagement, and Trending and Performance Measures
- Serve as Backup to the Management Review Board chairman
- Develop and perform/coordinate broad functional area compliance-based and performance-based assessments and/or audits
- Ensure facility-level Contractor Assurance processes are integrated with company-level programs and that facility policies align with company policies
- Define facility-related performance indicators, support trend analysis, and drive improvement actions
- Evaluate effectiveness of corrective action and causal analysis programs and develop improvements to reduce recurrence
- Interface with Functional Area Program Managers to ensure requirements are accurately reflected in procedures and work processes
- Assist in monitoring improvement plans and developing actions to improve employee engagement and Nuclear Safety Culture (NSC)
- Perform, coordinate, and/or lead technical reviews, investigations, and research to resolve noncompliance or ineffective situations

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and experience in an analytical position or role like the responsibilities of this position (e.g., Corrective Action, Issue Management, Operational Analysis, Statistical Analysis)
- OR High School Diploma/GED and a combination of education and/or experience in an analytical role comparable to the responsibilities of this position (e.g., Corrective Action, Issue Management, Operational Analysis, Statistical Analysis)
- Experience in an analytical position or role like the responsibilities of this position
- Excellent verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Excellent technical writing skills (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience interacting with senior management and customers/clients (preferred)
- Experience working at a DOE site or commercial nuclear or other complex industry in Performance Improvement processes (preferred)
- Root Cause Analysis certification/training (preferred)
- DOE Readiness Assessment lead and/or member training or experience (or equivalent) (preferred)
- Experience with Corrective Action Management Systems (preferred)
- Proficient with office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint (preferred)
- Based in Aiken, SC on the Savannah River Site (position location)
