About the role
- Provides quality control support to operations and project teams for construction or non-construction projects
- Performs quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of operations, project and/or maintenance activities
- Inspects, witnesses, tests, performs surveillance and prepares documentation to verify construction activities
- Identifies and documents nonconformance's
- Supports verification that resolutions are in accordance with approved dispositions
- Coordinates with internal sources to resolve quality issues
- Provides status of the inspection/test activities for the work activity
- Reviews supplier's and subcontractor's quality verification documentation for traceability and specification compliance
- Initiates quality release documents
- Performs visual inspections of material and equipment
- Performs mathematical calculations or conversions to determine correct values
- Conducts final walk-downs for work activity completion
- Attends status meetings to provide input from the quality control department
- Monitors operations maintenance, subcontractors and supplier’s workmanship for quality control compliance
- Reviews design output documents in accordance with approved procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, Associates Degree, Bachelor's degree in a non-technical discipline, or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science)
- Technical degree preferred
- Previous/current quality certifications
- Certification with continuing training is required for performance of inspection and contract surveillance activities
- Specialized training may also be required to support certain technical areas
