About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the QA/QC Manager or Supervisor
  • Organize incoming reports and documents and review them for accuracy
  • Review inspection reports/documents and file them into turnover dossiers by area
  • Build turnover dossiers according to the Quality Manager’s direction
  • Track construction progress
  • Maintain documents daily by inserting them into turnover dossiers
  • Maintain code books, project specifications, and regulations according to the QC Manual and contract
  • Audit dossiers and logs to identify errors and missing reports
  • Upload and review the MaxTrax weld tracking system
  • Identify workflow delays or issues and report them to the Supervisor
  • Track and maintain documents for client, vendor, and NDE requirements
  • Maintain an efficient workflow of vendor and client documents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 to 3 years’ related experience in administrative management or quality inspection reports
  • Minimum of one year’s industrial or oil and gas experience preferred
  • Ability to understand welding procedure specifications (WPS’)
  • Ability to understand material tracking reports (MTRs)
  • Ability to understand weld mapping and heat numbers
  • Ability to work with little supervision; self-starter and motivated
  • Ability to understand isometric drawings, including piping fittings, BOM, and spec breaks
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, demonstrate initiative, and handle pressure from multiple project group document requirements
  • Computer literate and competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn MaxTrax required
  • Familiarity with process plant equipment; field or vendor experience a plus
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and filing/recordkeeping systems
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment operation
  • Strong organizational skills, including alphabetization and numerical filing
  • Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of traceability, document control, and turnover
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, sit, stand, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Some overtime may be required with management approval
