About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide mechanical engineering support to assigned projects
Ensure the development of effective designs, drawings, and documentation
Report directly to Mechanical Engineering Supervisor for work process and job assignments
Work with a team of disciplined engineers to support the creation of deliverables
May supervise the activities of junior Engineers, designers, and draftsmen
Ensure drawings and engineering documents are accurate and complete
Produce detailed designs ensuring compliance with codes and standards
Develop engineering documents, drawing, and writing specifications
Lead, supervise and guide discipline-specific teams in the preparation and coordination of design basic or detail drawings

Requirements

What you’ll need

8-10 years of applicable industry experience in the specification of compressors, pumps, exchangers, flares, tanks, relief valves, piping systems, etc. for energy or petrochemical facilities
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Texas Professional Engineering license with capability for multistate licensure
Experience with application of pertinent industry codes.
Experience with Hexagon Caesar II software preferred.
Proven success in developing and executing projects, including objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
Familiar with Microsoft Office or similar software.
