About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze complex data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement through constellation simulations, new service trade-off assessments, and mission-general constraints/resources analysis.
Contribute to the lifecycle (developing, testing, maintaining, and operating) of our core planning services, including REST APIs, backend services, and planning algorithms.
Build internal tools and APIs to streamline daily analysis and data retrieval for the engineering team.
Develop simulation and debugging tools that make it simple to reproduce and resolve production bugs in our development environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong proficiency in Python software development and data handling/analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter Notebooks).
Experience with novel and complex algorithms (e.g., AI Planning & Scheduling, Search Problems, Combinatorial Optimization, or Geographic Information Systems/GIS).
Familiarity with satellite missions, orbital mechanics, or satellite engineering concepts.
Familiarity with modern software development workflows (e.g., Git, testing frameworks, CI/CD, Docker) is a plus.
Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
