About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze complex data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement through constellation simulations, new service trade-off assessments, and mission-general constraints/resources analysis.
- Contribute to the lifecycle (developing, testing, maintaining, and operating) of our core planning services, including REST APIs, backend services, and planning algorithms.
- Build internal tools and APIs to streamline daily analysis and data retrieval for the engineering team.
- Develop simulation and debugging tools that make it simple to reproduce and resolve production bugs in our development environments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in Python software development and data handling/analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter Notebooks).
- Experience with novel and complex algorithms (e.g., AI Planning & Scheduling, Search Problems, Combinatorial Optimization, or Geographic Information Systems/GIS).
- Familiarity with satellite missions, orbital mechanics, or satellite engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with modern software development workflows (e.g., Git, testing frameworks, CI/CD, Docker) is a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
