About the role
- Continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of primary and secondary payloads to ensure maximum throughput and data quality across the constellation.
- Providing expert technical analysis and troubleshooting for payload anomalies, coordinating with hardware and software teams to resolve complex in-orbit issues.
- Designing and executing rigorous testing procedures and benchmarks to evaluate payload performance under various orbital conditions.
- Defining, implementing, and monitoring payload health and performance metrics to proactively identify degradation or optimization opportunities.
- Leading payload initialization and calibration activities for new satellites, ensuring a smooth transition from launch to nominal mission phases.
- Working closely with the Mission Operations and Data Product teams to align payload capabilities with customer requirements and mission goals.
Requirements
- Degree (or advanced studies) in aerospace engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience in testing, characterization, or operation of complex electronic systems (preferably on-board satellite hardware or high-performance sensors).
- Familiarity with signal processing and data acquisition systems.
- Working knowledge of Python for basic data analysis and task automation.
- Comfortable working with Bash scripting and containerization using Docker.
- Ability to process large datasets to extract performance trends and identify anomalies.
- Intermediate English proficiency level.
