About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain web applications using React, focusing on performance, component architecture, and user experience
Develop server-side logic, RESTful APIs, and backend services in PHP
Integrate front-end and back-end systems and ensure reliable data flow
Design, query, and optimise relational database structures
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to turn requirements into working software
Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared engineering standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack
Write clean, documented, testable, and maintainable code

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience
Strong proficiency in React, including component design, state management, and performance optimisation
Solid PHP development skills, including RESTful API design and server-side logic
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Comfortable working with Git in a collaborative development environment
Strong problem-solving ability and confidence debugging across front end and back end
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams
Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or regulated financial services is advantageous
Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices is advantageous
Experience with front-end and back-end testing frameworks is advantageous
Knowledge of TypeScript is advantageous
