About the role

  • Analyze shipping costs, revenue, and carrier performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability
  • Develop and maintain models to evaluate freight pricing, margins, and cost drivers
  • Identify margin leakage and recommend data-driven corrective actions
  • Perform root cause analysis on operational and financial discrepancies
  • Conduct monthly audits of program freight business to identify margin gaps and implement improvements
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards tracking KPIs (cost per shipment, margin performance, service levels)
  • Prepare monthly performance reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations (not just data summaries)
  • Partner with leadership to support decision-making through data analysis and scenario modeling
  • Manage month-end logistics accruals to support accurate financial close
  • Produce and validate month-end sales data reporting for critical billings
  • Ensure alignment between operational data and financial reporting
  • Continuously improve data accuracy, reporting processes, and transparency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to processes impacting freight profitability
  • Analyze carrier and operational performance data to drive service and cost improvements
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and reporting enhancements
  • Support cross-functional projects and ad hoc business analysis
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and task coordination for a small Manila-based team
  • Support training and development to improve team analytical and operational capabilities
  • Ensure accuracy, accountability, and timely execution of assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Power Query
  • Data Modeling DAX Language
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); experience with reporting or visualization tools preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data mining and trend analysis
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a data-driven operational environment ideal
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of data accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, including presenting insights to stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
