About the role
- Designs and develops high quality and scalable solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable components and services that support the localization pipeline.
- Build internal tools and automation to improve efficiency for globalization, translation, and localization QA teams.
- Implement and enhance integrations with translation management systems and related workflows.
- Create and refine tools and workflows that leverage GenAI‑driven or automation‑driven enhancements for multilingual support.
- Contribute to the design and development of AI-based agentic localization frameworks/services to support both internal and external use cases.
- Collaborate closely with Globalization PMs, Translators, Localization QA, and Product Development teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end localization processes.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize systems that support multilingual content delivery.
- Participates in project scoping and scheduling; tracks progress of individual tasks and alerts project lead or manager of issues meeting schedule.
- Maintains accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers.
- Be encouraged to participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.
Requirements
- 5 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
- Strong programming experience in Go, TypeScript or Python.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Git workflows, and CI/CD automation.
- Working knowledge of software localization, methodologies, and languages.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
- Experience with Smartling or other TMS platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
