About the role

  • Identify strategic business opportunities across EMEA and develop tailored business cases that align with Sartorius’ goals
  • Monitor funding publications, scientific announcements, ecosystem news, and public programs
  • Map high-value accounts, emerging biotech companies, academic consortia, and innovation hubs
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales teams to aid in account qualification, strategic targeting
  • Prepare executive briefs for high-impact opportunities
  • Engage with key institutions and stakeholders for future collaborations and long-term growth
  • Act as a strategic interface across internal teams to align on priorities and drive execution
  • Track the progress of strategic projects and provide insights for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Successfully completed academic degree in life sciences, engineering, business administration or marketing
  • Relevant experience in business development, strategic or field marketing, with preferable Lab/bioprocess-based experience in Life Science, Biotech or Pharma
  • Experience with market data tools (e.g. GlobalData, PitchBook, Evaluate, or similar), strategy building, and business case development is highly desirable
  • Good network and market understanding for the respective markets, combined with process understanding to the role
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques coupled with a focused interest in markets & technologies that are yet to be developed
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to independently lead projects and initiatives is required
  • Strong ability to connect external market signals (e.g., funding, partnerships, policy) to business opportunity distinguished you
  • Experienced in developing business cases, supporting sales planning, and driving cross-functional alignment is fundamental
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills is a matter of course for those
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment characterizes you
  • Proficiency in English, multiple languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the region
