About the role

Take ownership and drive development of command & control web applications for DoD maritime autonomy
Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
Develop supporting backend servers and APIs (Node.js)
Communicate with external UX designers for advanced design capabilities
Communicate and incorporate feedback from external clients to ensure UI/UX decisions meet their needs
Balance using reliable solutions while tracking new technologies to improve usability
Deploy applications to cloud providers and integrate with databases and streaming/video systems

This role requires U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or certain protected asylees/refugees as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
A desire to work with DoD technology
Strong UI/UX design principles and tools experience
Basic proficiency with Rust and Python
Strong experience developing SPAs/PWAs via modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Svelte, WebComponents, Vue)
Frontend performance optimization and debugging tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools)
Proficiency in developing backend servers and APIs with Node.js
Deploying to Cloud Service Providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., Postgres, SQLite, Redis)
Utilizing Web Workers to push events and notifications
Familiarity with video encoding, decoding, and streaming
Experience with Web Gamepad API and building/using WASM modules
Knowledge of web accessibility standards
