About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • HR Information Systems (HRIS) Management: Administer and maintain HRIS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and HR strategy. Troubleshoot HRIS issues and liaise with vendors as necessary.
  • Onboarding and Training: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and develop training materials and programs that align with our mission and industry standards.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries, promoting a positive work environment. Assist in conflict resolution and support performance management processes.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, particularly regarding defense industry standards. Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance our HR processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
