About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on project teams that provide technical consulting and advisory services to power project developers
Support utility-scale solar, wind, gas, battery energy storage projects
Provide independent engineering and due diligence services for lenders and investors
Conduct technical, economic, and market studies for grid operators, utilities, and research agencies
Develop planning studies and business cases for utilities, independent power producers, and government agencies
Engage in face-to-face interaction with power plant developers and owners, as well as lenders and investors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered)
15 or more years of experience in the power industry
Design of utility-scale solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage projects
Independent engineering and due diligence services for power projects
Power project development
Solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage construction management
Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus
Experience with owner’s engineering activities during power project execution is a plus
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Experience writing technical reports and proposals
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others
Project planning and leadership skills
