About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform high quality design and consulting services as part of multidisciplined project teams for power and industrial projects.
  • Support preparation and review of geotechnical reports and calculations for conformity with project specifications.
  • Prepare and review specifications for subsurface investigations, deep foundations, ground improvement and more.
  • Advise power project developers to support new utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, thermal, and other projects.
  • Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects independently to support financing.
  • Develop technical reports for applicable audiences.
  • Conduct occasional on-site quality surveillance of subsurface exploration programs and pile testing.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus.
  • 8+ years of detailed geotechnical design, including soil remediation, deep foundations, driven, predrilled, and helical pile design.
  • Experience in working in design of power, transmission, or other heavy industry projects.
  • Experience in writing and providing support documentation for Geotechnical Engineering specifications or calculations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple parallel, fast-paced tasks within schedule and assigned budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical evaluation report writing.
