About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • In this role, you will provide development support, strategic planning, expert consulting, conceptual design and engineering design oversight within the SLC project portfolio in support of power projects.
  • You will also have the opportunity to support and lead project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contracting strategies.
  • Your responsibilities will include preparing project implementation strategies and plans, expert consulting, owner’s engineering reviews, technical due diligence, process improvement evaluations, project development support, and conceptual planning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • This position requires a BS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.
  • 15 or more years of experience in the energy/power industry
  • Experience with electric utilities, IPPs, or energy project development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Valued but not required skills and experience: Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of power projects is a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of electric utility business processes and operations.
  • Economic, cost analysis, and contract development experience is a plus.
