Perform structural engineering reviews
Prepare structural design specifications
Advise power project developers on utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, and thermal projects
Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects independently
Develop technical reports for audiences including owners, developers, governmental agencies, and financiers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering with a structural specialty
5+ years of detailed structural design, including mass concrete, steel, piles, deep foundations, lattice structures, etc.
3+ years of experience in detailed structural design specific to power generation or distribution (thermal, renewable, substations, etc.)
Experience in writing and providing support documentation for Structural Engineering specifications, calculations, and feasibility studies
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical evaluation report writing
Valued but not required: Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineering (SE) license
Finite element modeling experience – specifically SAP2000, LPILE, STAAD, etc.
Experience with design of foundations in unique subsurface conditions (i.e. karst, high groundwater, potential for liquefaction)
Multi-discipline teamwork (i.e. design projects, co-ops)
Data analysis and visualization skills
Project finance or business acumen
Conceptual project design skills
Knowledge of construction project management and/or scheduling software
