About the role

  • Provide valuable input into nuclear power plant engineering and nuclear licensing deliverables.
  • Focus on development of new advanced small modular reactor projects including feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate with discipline subject matter expertise to solicit input for engineering reports.
  • Manage tasks to ensure project execution including budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative insight into the current advanced reactor offerings on the market.
  • Read and interpret NRC regulations, regulatory guides, and industry guidelines.
  • Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
  • Develop and implement engineering and project management solutions meeting client goals.
  • Prepare and/or review reports and studies presenting technical information clearly.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering trends and technologies.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.

Requirements

  • BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the nuclear energy field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong and dynamic written, verbal and interdisciplinary communication skills.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting technical reports virtually and in-person.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft software and tools.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • EIT accreditation (valued but not required).
  • Experience with nuclear reactor technologies (valued but not required).
  • Experience with 10 CFR 50 and 10 CFR 52 reactor licensing (valued but not required).
  • Experience with nuclear operations and emergency response planning (valued but not required).
  • Experience with developing Microsoft PowerBi, Power Automate, PowerApps, or other programming capabilities (valued but not required).
