About the role
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs
- Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data
- Be involved in power designs and the preparation of documents and specifications for the procurement of major equipment, structures, and related installation services
- Assigned to work on a project team in our Grid business unit and assist the engineering team members in the execution of their project work
- Work under the direction of senior engineers and utilize/expand academic background in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
- Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may also be considered if they have relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines
- Active enrollment in a BS or MS ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program (valued but not required)
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community (valued but not required)
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred (valued but not required)
- Prior, related internship or co-op experience in our business area (valued but not required)
