Assigned to work on a project team in the Grid business unit assisting engineering team members in execution of project work
Work may involve design of new and/or modifications and upgrades to transmission and distribution engineering projects
Assist in preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs
Work on tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data
Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents and specifications for procurement of major equipment, structures, and related installation services
Work under the direction of senior engineers
Hybrid arrangement expected three days a week in the office and two days remote
Internship does not provide relocation subsidy
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with expected graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may be considered if they have relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power
Strong academic background
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines
Active enrollment in a BS or MS ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program (valued but not required)
Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community (valued but not required)
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred (valued but not required)
Prior, related internship or co-op experience in our business area (valued but not required)
