Assigned to work on a project team in Grid business unit and assist engineering team members in the execution of project work
Design of new and/or modifications and upgrades to transmission and distribution engineering projects
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs
Work on project reporting tasks, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data
Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents and specifications for procurement of major equipment, structures, and related installation services
Work under the direction of senior engineers
Hybrid work arrangement: expectation of spending three days a week in the office and remotely two days a week
Internship does not provide a subsidy for relocation expenses
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may also be considered if they have relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines
Active enrollment in a BS or MS ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program (valued but not required)
Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community (valued but not required)
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred (valued but not required)
Prior, related internship or co-op experience in our business area (valued but not required)
