About the role
- Provide development support, strategic planning, expert consulting, conceptual design and engineering design oversight within the SLC project portfolio in support of power projects
- Support and lead project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contracting strategies
- Prepare project implementation strategies and plans
- Conduct owner’s engineering reviews, technical due diligence, process improvement evaluations, project development support, and conceptual planning
Requirements
- BS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
- 15 or more years of experience in the energy/power industry
- Experience with electric utilities, IPPs, or energy project development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines
- Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of power projects is a plus
- Detailed understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is a plus
- Detailed understanding of electric utility business processes and operations
- Economic, cost analysis, and contract development experience is a plus
