- Sargent & Lundy is one of the largest and most experienced power industry engineering and consulting firms. We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Consulting group in the role of a Project Manager.
Lead and execute work associated with the development, financing, and execution of power generation projects.
Provide technical and financial due diligence, asset transaction support, project development services, independent engineering services, owner’s engineering services, and long-term planning support.
Face-to-face interaction with power project developers, utilities, investors, legal advisors, and financial institutions during consulting work.
Develop consulting project execution plan to meet client’s needs
Review deliverables such as reports and studies
Lead project team by providing clear instruction including technical approaches
Manage hours and work performed to budget and scope
Develop staff expertise through training and mentoring
Prepare proposals for consulting project opportunities
Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a high quality standard is met
Travel occasionally to visit project locations and client offices.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines or finance/economics may be considered) with 15 or more years of experience in the power industry, including:
Owner’s engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer experience for development and execution of power generation
Experience managing teams of engineers
Experience and technical knowledge in multiple power generation technologies – solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermal
Experience performing feasibility studies for power projects
Experience in long-term power supply and transmission planning projects is a plus
Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus
Experience with project contracts such as power purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, and EPC contracts is a plus
Prior experience in a consulting role is a plus
