About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the day to day analysis and optimization of logistics operations.
Ensures that the processes, technology, and/or infrastructure to support the efficient and cost-effective execution of distribution are in place.
Develops business cases that evaluate transportation routes, modes and rates, warehouse and transportation operations, and distribution requirements planning.
Focus on building relationships with customers and logistics service providers.
Troubleshoots operational issues to ensure timely and cost effective delivery to customers.
Works with procurement services to evaluate and purchase logistic services and works with legal and financial staff to ensure compliance.
Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the flow of material through the various distribution channels and physical inventory.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Studies or equivalent job related experience.
Knowledge of computer based design and analysis tools – simulation, work measurement, spreadsheet, and database analysis
Strong background in engineering, math, analytics and visualization or optimization techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-sufficient and self-directed
Capable of building strong relationships across organization boundaries
Familiar with logistics contracts and tariffs, warehousing and inventory management.
