About the role
- Own day-to-day people management including goal setting, task prioritization, regular feedback, performance reviews, and onboarding.
- Support continuous learning and domain expertise across the team, fostering strong product and technical capabilities.
- Serve as the primary product voice across the organization, uniting diverse stakeholders around shared goals and priorities.
- Convert market needs into clear, actionable product requirements and drive the end-to-end product development process.
- Understand current and future client needs to champion new features and unlock growth within the existing client base.
- Establish and nurture strong partnerships with clients and partners to ensure successful early adoption of new products.
- Evaluate unmet needs and emerging opportunities across discovery, development, and commercialization stages.
- Define clear requirements, success metrics, and prioritization frameworks to guide product decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to shape positioning, messaging, and communication strategy.
- Scope and prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and organizational capacity.
- Bridge product strategy and project execution to ensure delivery is impactful, timely, and well-coordinated.
- Help establish and champion product management standards and processes across the organization.
Requirements
- Master’s and/or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- Strong hands-on professional experience in NGS clinical workflows and/or bioinformatics, including sequencing instruments, assays, variant and biomarker calling and interpretation.
- Solid experience in regulated environments (IVDR, CLIA, or similar).
- Deep knowledge of NGS oncology workflows, from sample collection and preparation to library preparation and report generation.
- Proven understanding of NGS customer segments, applications, and market dynamics.
- Prior experience managing a product team, including providing consistent feedback, coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in highly cross-functional organizational settings.
- Proven track record of building new markets and developing market strategy from the ground up.
- Effective public speaker with presentation experience and the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success owning and delivering complex, cross-functional products end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of software development, project management, and the full biotech software product lifecycle from development through commercialization.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to take initiative, data-driven decisions and own outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Good knowledge of other foreign languages (e.g., French, German) will be considered a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for business as needed.
