About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving workforce planning in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Partner with leadership to develop succession plans, career paths and recognition strategies for teams in Brazil and other Latin American countries
  • Roll out and implement global HR programs, including compensation initiatives, organizational design and talent development
  • Lead the implementation and execution of national training and development programs
  • Promote and support Diversity & Inclusion initiatives across the organization
  • Analyze data to proactively identify and diagnose business needs and opportunities, developing solutions to address them
  • Lead the local HR team, including HR Administration and Talent Acquisition activities, ensuring efficient processes and service excellence
  • Manage the external payroll provider (BDO) and supervise internal HR administration teams, including timekeeping, vacations and benefits
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, including renewals, negotiations and payment processes
  • Manage HR finance functions, including budgeting, cost control, vendor management and payment processes
  • Provide guidance on labor relations, including collective bargaining agreements and legal compliance matters
  • Coordinate and support union negotiations, implementation, interpretation and ongoing administration of local Collective Bargaining Agreements, including managing processes related to labor claims provided for in those agreements
  • Collaborate with the labor legal department on confidential and/or high-risk issues related to employee relations and internal investigations
  • Analyze and lead resolution of employee-related issues involving different levels of complexity, visibility and risk, including violations of internal policies and the Code of Conduct, in partnership with managers, Legal, HR and other involved areas
  • Ensure proper application of corporate policies and collective agreements through communication, training and compliance monitoring
  • Partner with managers and Legal on performance management processes, disciplinary measures and terminations
  • Develop, review and implement global and local HR policies, ensuring alignment and correct application
  • Coordinate data collection and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and data accuracy
  • Manage HR metrics, reporting and data to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, Labor Relations or related fields
  • Postgraduate degree or Master's degree will be considered an advantage
  • Solid experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner, in roles of increasing complexity and strategic scope
  • Experience in an industrial environment with involvement in labor relations and interaction with unions
  • Proven ability to set priorities, analyze scenarios, solve problems and make decisions quickly and assertively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and interact clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt communication style and build trust-based relationships with leaders, employees and colleagues at all levels of the organization, both in-person and in virtual settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel and Power BI
  • Advanced English required; fluent Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of Brazilian Compensation and Benefits practices
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and act with agility in critical and high-complexity situations
  • Negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills to promote solutions and improvement opportunities
  • Analytical, results-oriented profile with attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data, maintain accurate records, organize information and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, prioritizing demands according to available resources
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across different organizational levels
  • Availability for national and international travel of approximately 10% to 15% as required
