Head of Careers and College Counseling

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a high-quality College and Career Counseling program for students in Grades 6–12.
- Provide individual college, career, and post-secondary planning guidance to students and families.
- Support students through all stages of the college application process, including college selection, essays, applications, deadlines, and admissions requirements.
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, workshops, webinars, and guidance on admissions, testing, scholarships, and financial aid.
- Develop and deliver college readiness programming, including workshops, events, and resources for students across all grade levels.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Master's degree in School Counseling, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in college, career, and post-secondary destination counseling within a school setting.
- Experience in an independent, private, or high-performing secondary school environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of college admissions processes, career pathways, and post-secondary planning.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills.
- A self-starter mindset with the ambition and initiative to build and continually enhance a best-in-class counseling program.
