About the role
- Ensure the general safety of students, staff, and visitors on campus at any time.
- Report any unusual activity or suspected safety issues to school management promptly.
- Monitor school grounds and entrances to ensure that only authorised staff and visitors enter the school and ensure security protocols are complied with.
- Conduct security patrols on school campus and in surrounding areas, including unsupervised areas.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventative measures.
- Participate in emergency response drills and serve on emergency teams.
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
- Supervise all transport & security staff (Drivers, nannies, security).
- Supervise and oversee transport services (routes, drivers/nannies’ attendance, buses/cars maintenance)
Requirements
- Ability to understand the school environment, along with an awareness of the need for security regarding the building, access, personal belongings, and equipment.
- Must hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and possess training and relevant experience in a field related to school security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be knowledgeable of standard security procedures and best practices and the ability to apply them
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand standard English
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
