About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading high-profile Payments’ delivery across complex, cross-functional change initiatives
- Driving clarity and structure in ambiguous business requests and shaping clear scope and outcomes
- Eliciting and defining high-quality plans , including business, functional, and non-functional deliverables
- Translating complex work requests into a clearly defined scope and plan
- Partnering with Technology and suppliers to drive solution design and delivery
- Influencing senior stakeholders through insight, challenge, and clear recommendations
- Managing project governance and change control to protect quality and value
- Providing transparent reporting and insight on progress, risks, and readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience of working within a Payments environment (Required)
- Experience of E2E project delivery and implementation (Required)
- Experience of industry standard traditional Project Management methodologies (Required)
- Experience of developing processes and procedures in regards to governance and change management principles (Required)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable challenging, constructively and influencing stakeholders across all divisions of Santander (Required)
- Proven diagnostic, problem solving and analytical skills (Required)
- Able to build rapport with project stakeholders and demonstrate influencing skills (Preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Uses all available channels and mechanisms effectively to communicate to all employees across the bank (Preferred)
- Have experience of working in agile, including an awareness of agile tools and how to use them (such as JIRA and Confluence) (Preferred)
- Knowledge of agile and waterfall delivery methodologies (required)
- MSP, PMP, PRINCE 2 practitioner, agile or external PMO certification are advantageous but not mandatory (Preferred)
- Degree level education in relevant subject is desirable (Preferred)
