About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and close new commercial lending opportunities
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
Represent Santander professionally at industry events
Partner with Credit teams and Senior Business Development Officers for loan proposals
Prepare clear and concise deal briefing memoranda
Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of prospects and activities
Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of lending, business development, or commercial banking experience
Commercial lending and business development expertise
Relationship management and client acquisition skills
Strong financial analysis and proficiency with financial calculations
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required
