About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for undertaking detailed analysis on the corporate and commercial risk portfolio.
- Undertake management and regulatory reporting, provide ad hoc analysis to the CRO and monitor the bank’s risk appetite limits.
- Enhance packs and reports used at senior risk committees and the wider business.
- Ensure all Credit Risk MI is produced with a high level of accuracy and to agreed timescales.
- Contribute to PRA (and other regulator) requests relating to Credit Risk, across Front Office and Risk.
- Challenge and seek to generate actionable insights through analysis performed, informing decisions on policy, pricing, strategy, etc.
- Solve complex business problems using data analytics tools and providing practical value-based solutions.
- Identify key portfolio issues requiring further investigation using in-depth knowledge of credit portfolio performance.
- Enhance the digital data proposition to allow improved visualisation and analysis of portfolio trends by utilising the data and tools available including SAS and PowerBI.
- Foster great links between Risk and other key business areas.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A good working knowledge of the Corporate & Commercial Bank, or Experience in CCB credit risk or Front Office/Line 1.
- Degree level in a subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Physics, or Engineering, ideally 2:1) and/or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Analytical, with excellent attention to detail – able to quickly spot potential mistakes and/or anomalies.
- Coding/Data manipulation experience (e.g. SAS, SQL or equivalent such as Python, VBA) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to create reports independently.
- Experience in development of PowerBI Dashboards.
