Senior Project Manager – Treasury, Corporate Risk
SantanderSenior Project Manager leading high-priority change initiatives at Santander in Treasury and Corporate Risk. Overseeing complex change portfolios and managing a team of Business Analysts.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex change initiatives across Treasury and Corporate Risk, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are effectively managed.
- Establish and maintain robust programme governance, including reporting, risk management, and stakeholder oversight aligned to regulatory expectations.
- Manage and develop a small team of Business Analysts, setting clear objectives and ensuring high-quality requirements and documentation.
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of programme risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive business case development, benefits realisation tracking, and financial governance across assigned initiatives.
- Ensure all change activity complies with internal control frameworks and external regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including Technology, Operations, and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate steering committees and executive forums, providing clear, concise updates and recommendations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive project/program management experience in a Risk or Finance function of a financial institution (Preferred)
- Subject matter expertise through working in a Market or Corporate Credit Risk role (Preferred)
- Knowledge of associated regulatory frameworks, including model risk (Preferred)
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in relevant topic (Preferred)
- Post Graduate qualification in a finance (eg ACCA/CFA) or project management (eg PMI) discipline (Preferred)
- English (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
