About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospecting for new commercial business and maintaining a portfolio of existing clients
  • Discussing customer needs, problems, or complaints
  • Arranging for meetings between customers or prospective customers and representatives of various company functional areas
  • Providing consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Representing the organization in various civic and community functions
  • Assisting in the implementation and coordination of the companywide business development call program
  • Pre-qualifying clients for market segment
  • Working with strategic partners to identify cross sell opportunities
  • Documenting calls and results, and making reports to management as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent field; or equivalent work experience - Required
  • 9+ years of lending and/or new business development in commercial banking - Required
  • Dealer Commercial Services experience - Required
  • Advanced proficiency in financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow evaluation - Required
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel within the assigned territory as needed - Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products including Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Outlook and Word - Required
  • Expertise in complex contract negotiation and contract creation - Required
