Mid-level Lawyer – Health Law, Regulatory and SUS
Santa Casa BHLawyer responsible for specialized legal support across all units of Santa Casa BH. Ensuring legal compliance and addressing administrative, judicial, and consultative demands related to public health.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee external legal services contracted from third parties;
- Serve as liaison between contracted services and the in-house legal team;
- Draft and monitor contracts entered into by the group;
- Provide specialized legal support to all units of the institution;
- Contribute to legal and regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and the legal security of healthcare activities;
- Handle administrative, judicial and advisory matters related to public health, contracting, and the provision of services to the SUS;
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree (undergraduate law degree or equivalent);
- Postgraduate degree in the area is desirable;
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Preferable experience in civil litigation, administrative and/or regulatory matters, preferably in the healthcare sector;
- Experience providing legal advice to hospitals, healthcare institutions, philanthropic entities, health plan operators, public agencies or providers of services to the SUS;
- Knowledge of legislation applicable to the Unified Health System (SUS);
- Experience preparing pleadings, legal opinions, technical notes, administrative defenses, responses to official letters, notifications and submissions to public bodies, regulators, inspectors and oversight entities;
- Desirable experience with cases involving the judicialization of healthcare, hospital civil liability, health surveillance (sanitary regulation), professional councils, the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministério Público), Health Secretariats and audit bodies.
