About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the trusted bridge between Controlling Operations and Finance Business Partners
  • Foster strategic partnerships with business leaders and the Service Delivery Hub team
  • Challenge legacy ways of working and identify gaps across BUs, Functions, and the GBU
  • Provide ad-hoc OPEX support and cross-SPC NA analyses to inform high-level decisions
  • Drive standardization and automation through OPEX analysis
  • Design and implement new ways of working with Finance Business Partners and the Transversal OPEX Team
  • Provide end-to-end oversight of Controlling Operations core model processes and service quality for Vaccines NA OPEX
  • Own OPEX planning, budget, and forecast processes, including P&L roll-up and analytics
  • Roll up and challenge budget-vs-actuals, flux analyses, risks and opportunities, and targets
  • Build P&L bridges and metrics for Total OPEX and Headcount
  • Support close and landing exercises and participate in Monthly Expense Reviews
  • Execute the budgeted OPEX plan, track actuals, approve projects, and direct business owners
  • Coordinate with OPEX controllers to ensure accurate, timely delivery and adherence to internal controls
  • Support SHIFT implementation and SMART Spend initiatives
  • Build a center of expertise across OPEX-related financial systems and processes
  • Educate client groups on financial policies and processes and ensure compliance with internal controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of diversified financial/accounting experience
  • Pharmaceutical or related industry experience is preferred
  • Experience leading and managing people preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, V-lookups, and macros)
  • Experience with SAP, TM1 and SHIFT preferred
  • Ability to influence and shape business decisions
  • Demonstrated success building partnerships across multiple levels of the business
  • Strong business partnering, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a big-picture orientation
  • Experience collaborating across senior management, business, and functional leaders
  • Ability to motivate and empower others toward a desired action
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (presentations, listening, written)
