About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales and optimize care pathways for rare disease patients in the assigned region
  • Grow and expand the rare disease business
  • Cultivate existing business and identify growth opportunities through lead/trigger follow-up
  • Engage community prescribers and use digital leads to find undiagnosed patients or educate prescribers to refer diagnosed untreated patients
  • Co-create customer value account plans and execution metrics with the CSAD
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide disease awareness, product knowledge, and referral support
  • Identify and pursue patient opportunities in Community & Development accounts through strategic prospecting
  • Build and execute account plans
  • Achieve and exceed patient sales targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers
  • Educate healthcare providers on Sanofi’s rare disease portfolio and offerings
  • Build awareness of lysosomal storage disorder signs and symptoms
  • Educate stakeholders on diagnosis pathways, diagnostic tests, and free testing programs
  • Educate on product administration, treatment expectations, and adherence
  • Support referral networks and encourage referrals to appropriate specialists
  • Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Sanofi team members across functions
  • Travel as needed to assigned accounts and regions
  • Report to the Commercial Strategic Account Director (CSAD)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Ability to analyze complex market situations and develop innovative sales and care-optimization solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in rare diseases or specialized therapeutic areas preferred
  • Digital literacy and a digital-first mindset preferred
  • Resourcefulness and prospecting skills preferred
  • Experience with peer-to-peer HCP education programs preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed to assigned accounts and regions
