About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a division team of Area Business Managers to build customer trust and demonstrate value in a business-to-business selling environment
  • Develop divisional business plans that break down business targets by products, customer segments, and contracting modalities
  • Direct acquisition, expansion, and retention of targeted customer accounts
  • Drive implementation of ABM customer plans using omnichannel promotion and analytical tools
  • Support evaluation and prioritization of business across Pediatrics, Family/General Practice, IDN/IHNs, Health Systems, and Federally Qualified Health Centers
  • Deliver account performance objectives through robust account plans aligned with regional goals
  • Use account and territory-level data to develop actionable plans and conduct business reviews
  • Support teams in navigating complex contracting and pricing
  • Establish and track territory performance metrics and adjust plans as needed
  • Coach and train team members to identify business opportunities and key contacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on account projects and initiatives
  • Present partnership opportunities to the Hospital and Strategic Accounts team and coordinate implementation
  • Share customer strategy information and insights with other customer teams
  • Recruit, select, train, and coach team members
  • Maintain employee morale and motivation and support ABM career development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related sales experience, preferably business-to-business and/or healthcare sales experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of first-line pharmaceutical sales leadership experience
  • Internal candidates must have completed an internal leadership development program such as ELP, with demonstrated leadership experience in any industry
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated commitment to coaching and people development
  • Ability to build teams and serve as an inspirational/motivational leader
  • Ability to collaborate, influence peers, and educate management regarding account needs
  • Strong customer-facing skills and demonstrated negotiating capability
  • Inclusive and diverse mindset in talent development, promotion, team dynamics, and culture
  • Personal leadership and role-model behavior aligned with Sanofi core values and Play to Win Behaviors
  • Ability to travel within the division regularly, including frequent overnight and weekend travel
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Advanced or master's degree preferred
  • Specific knowledge of vaccine sales or buy-and-bill, distribution, administration, and reimbursement preferred
  • Launch experience within the last 4 years preferred
  • Experience with organized customers and executive value propositions for acute care or vaccine products preferred
  • Knowledge of managed-market dynamics and competitive landscapes in acute care and/or vaccines preferred
  • Exposure to or experience in Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care, or Marketing preferred
