About the role
- Organizes and supervises all steps for a new release launch of the LEDP platform, including Azure on premise infrastructure and DS Saas Platform
- Manages a team including testing, quality documentation and devops engineers
- Ensures adherence to deadlines while avoiding errors during deployments
- Ensures stability of the 3Dexperience based information system while supporting innovation through development and deployment of new digital products leveraging the LEDP foundation
- Ensures that every new software version is well tested, validated following GxP standards, properly documented and deployed without negative impact on users
- Acts as an interface between technical teams and business teams
- Develops the release schedule based on functional and technical specifications, and DS release schedule for OOTB
- Leads test automation, from test case and dataset definition to test execution and reporting
- Leads the validation committees, including product owners, developers, QA, and business System Owners
- Manages environments and coordinates business acceptance tests with the AMOA/MOA teams
- Manages deployments using CI/CD automation tools, environment set-up, environment upgrade and data migration scripting
- Oversees rollback phases in case of failure and monitors production incidents post-deployment
- Documents releases and writes reports for stakeholders
- Plays a consulting role for agile teams to continuously improve the software delivery process
Requirements
- Minimum B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Advanced degree (eg. M.Sc) preferred
- Deep knowledge of 3DExperience: 3+ years of experience with release management of 3DExperience platform (on premise or Saas), including installation, upgrade and data migration.
- Background in quality assurance testing from previous experience in automated testing, ideally on the 3DExperience platform and/or in lifescience industry
- Understanding the technical constraints associated with multi-application environments and mastering tools specific to software delivery management.
- Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Understanding and experience of distributed architectures and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Mastery of continuous integration tools
- Scripting skills (Ansible)
- Experience in Test Automation, preferably with Tosca, and on 3DExperience.
- Knowledge of versioning tools (Git, SVN)
- Familiarity with ITIL systems and Change Management processes
- Strong DevOps culture and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible
- Experience with Agile, and associated Jira/Confluence tools.
- Organization and rigor to manage complex schedules.
- Strong analytical skills and capacity to assess deployment risks
- Efficient communication and synthesis skills to interact with all teams
- Leadership and management skills
- Capability to work in a global international context
