About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversees the development and execution of the scientific data dissemination/publication planning, and medical communication/education strategy for the Immunology portfolio
- Responsible for pipeline development indications for Dermatology (HS)
- Oversees a team of Publications and Medical Communications/Education professionals
- Responsible for planning and development of internal and external data dissemination and communications
- Leads strategic publication planning and execution, including abstract submissions to medical and scientific congresses, posters, and platform presentations
- Develops scientific communications strategic planning and resource development
- Supports content development for advisory boards and medical education planning
- Collaborates with external authors and academic experts to drive execution of high-quality publications and education materials
- Manages scientific agencies and collaborates with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders
- Drives the data generation strategy and integration of scientific, clinical, and business priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advance degree in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD)
- At least 5 years of relevant medical affairs experience
- Experience on team management preferred
- Experience working on early pipeline assets
- Experience managing agency and vendors
- Ability to travel domestic/ international ~ 30%
- Ability to be in the office (M-Station or CX) 3 days/ week including Monday or Friday
- Experience managing / mentoring post-doctoral fellows
- Ability to interpret and critique scientific and medical data with respect to scientific and business implications are essential
- Experience and demonstrated skill in the analysis, communication, and presentation of complex scientific and medical data
- Track record of successfully developing peer-reviewed publications is required
- Exemplary customer facing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal; comfortable and experienced in making presentations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Knowledge of industry guidelines pertaining to data dissemination (e.g., CONSORT, ICMJE, GPPs) and interactions with health care providers (e.g., PhRMA Code)
