About the role
- Responsible for financial reporting strategies and processes in banking
- Partner with Head of Banking for P&L ownership and commercial outcomes
- Develop annual budgets and forecasts for banking
- Establish financial performance dashboards and perform financial forecasting
- Collaborate with Group Risk and Actuarial for compliance and reporting
Requirements
- CA (SA) Qualification
- Minimum 8–10 years senior management experience in Financial Services
- 3–5 years in banking, fintech, or transactional financial services
- Proven experience managing P&L for retail banking
- Understanding of banking unit economics and customer economics
- Experience establishing or managing finance functions in high growth environments
- Proficiency in financial software and data analytics tools (e.g., SAP, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Good technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with banking funding strategies
