About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage duties that support general accounting goals and priorities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and record journal entries, including quarterly accruals
- Assists with all aspects of accounting and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reviews financial data for accuracy, identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
- Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
- Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.
- Assist in providing audit support to internal and external auditors.
- Manage accounts payable transactions and manage priorities related to the cash disbursement process through collaboration with the Accounts Payable accountant and Treasury department.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS in Accounting, with an MBA or CPA preferred
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, out of which a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or at a public company (Preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP practices and processes
- Familiarity with project level accounting, quarterly accruals, consolidations, and multi-entity structures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting quickly to maintain deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and internal customers.
