About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, direct, and assist with implementation of medical and health services and programs for the ambulatory services department
- Establish appropriate levels of care and ensure high standards and quality in healthcare
- Lead clinical and business operations of multiple clinic areas and programs
- Ensure quality patient care, high patient satisfaction, financial stewardship, and service development aligned with Sanford Clinic's mission, vision, and strategic goals
- Maintain communication among governing boards, medical staff, and department heads
- Review and analyze facility activities and data for planning, cash and risk management, and service utilization improvement
- Assist with fiscal operations, including accounting, budget planning, expenditure authorization, and financial reporting
- Prepare activity reports on program, service, and quality initiative status and implementation plans
- Guide and direct subordinates, set performance standards, and monitor performance
- Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring, and personnel training
- Establish staff work schedules and assignments
- Depending upon location, assist with overseeing student health services for local colleges and universities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field required
- Minimum of five years of experience leading and managing a multifunctional business or complex organization
- Knowledge of clinical practices, strategic planning, administrative, and/or financial principles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Licensure and/or certification in area of healthcare specialty preferred
