About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and apply age- and population-specific standards
- Care for patients across preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
- Plan and coordinate care
- Perform patient assessments, education, triage, and other nursing interventions
- Practice according to the Nurse Practice Act, state administrative rules, nursing standards, and professional ethics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
- Currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or possess multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
