About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect subjective and objective health status data from patients or caregivers
  • Communicate health status data to health care providers
  • Participate in the care of patients under the direction of the provider
  • Perform a variety of duties under direct supervision of licensed medical personnel
  • Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, observe and report patient's signs or symptoms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
  • Must also be registered on the ND Board of Nursing UAP Registry if they do not possess MAIII registration at time of hire
