About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect subjective and objective health status data from patients or caregivers
- Communicate health status data to health care providers
- Participate in the care of patients under the direction of the provider
- Perform a variety of duties under direct supervision of licensed medical personnel
- Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, observe and report patient's signs or symptoms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
- Must also be registered on the ND Board of Nursing UAP Registry if they do not possess MAIII registration at time of hire
