About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process assigned accounts and track progress of assigned accounts until they are ultimately collected within timely guidelines
Meet monthly cash collection A/R goals
Resolve credit balances within the established guidelines
Prepare and submit claims to primary, secondary and tertiary insurance companies and follow-up to collect submitted claims
Establish payment arrangements and collect delinquent accounts
Audit charts to assess appropriate reimbursement
Regular attendance is required to carry out essential functions of the position

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School/General Education Diploma
1 year of medical billing, customer service, and computer experience or postsecondary degree/certification in medical billing or related field
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while resolving billing issues
Able to effectively analyze, investigate, follow up and resolve complex billing issues in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
