About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develops and reports against a wide range of budget models required by the organization for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepares management reporting and explains key variances on a monthly and annual basis to aid financial and business decisions
- Performs data gathering and preparation of financial reports, analysis, and presentations across a variety of business issues and strategic initiatives
- Works with CFO to create presentations for Senior Management, Board meetings and Board Committee meetings (ex. Finance Committee)
- Supports Accounting team with expense allocations, journal entries and analysis as required
- Works closely with CFO, Controller and external audit firm on annual financial statement audit and 990 tax returns, including assisting with the functional expense allocation models
- Manages charitable solicitation registration process for all fifty states, working with our retained legal firm in this area
- Supports CFO with 401k Plan and Business Insurance census data, audits and other reporting
- Identifies and reports against various KPIs across the Finance department and SHP organization
- Adjusts and maintains the investment model and cash flow models to ensure adequate cash is available to meet general operating and rapid response needs
- Supports CFO with complex or time sensitive ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed
- Establish FP&A as a proven center of analytical excellence to support financial discipline and thoughtfulness throughout the organization
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships throughout the organization and assist and empower non-finance leaders in the budgeting process

Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of financial experience managing organizational budgeting process, financial forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting, or combination of financial experience and advanced business/finance degrees
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Must have discretion and ability to handle confidential information

- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and ability to effectively multi-task, take initiative, and prioritize within a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Management and non-profit experience a plus
