About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate Sandvik’s global business and HR strategy into an HR and EHS agenda for Sales Area USA
  • Create strategic clarity, enable change, build human capital, and ensure HR and EHS services support operational needs and long-term performance
  • Serve as a member of the Sales Area Management team and report to the Sales Area VP
  • Develop HR strategies and measurable objectives aligned with business strategy, global HR direction, and Zero Harm
  • Coach and support managers in people management, performance management, employee engagement, and change leadership
  • Lead change initiatives and create engagement around the company’s vision, strategy, objectives, and values
  • Drive approaches for attracting, retaining, and developing talent
  • Ensure compliance with HR and EHS policies, applicable legislation, core values, and Code of Conduct
  • Promote a strong and sustainable safety culture
  • Build partnerships with leaders, employee representatives, and stakeholders, including labor union relations and collective bargaining where applicable
  • Improve HR service delivery using data, insights, best practices, and global people processes
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related business discipline
  • Several years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably with industry exposure
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven leadership capability, including experience leading teams and coaching managers to build capability and drive performance
  • Experience in HR reporting and data analysis
  • Experience in HR and EHS compliance
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Strong commitment to safety, sound judgment, and integrity
