About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mechanical cutting equipment
- New equipment commissioning and training at customer sites with minimal supervision
- Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions
- Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts or components according to scopes of work
- Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields or equivalent years of professional field/technical experience
- Minimum of 7 years industry related experience
- Technical experience with diesel, low voltage, and high voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment schematics
