About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a broad range of HR and payroll activities
- Supporting payroll administration and coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Administering employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee education, and vendor coordination
- Managing onboarding and offboarding activities and helping create a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring accurate HR data and documentation
- Assisting with leave administration, accommodations, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims
- Helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Assisting with HR audits, reporting, and documentation
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company events
- Helping document and improve HR processes and procedures as we continue building our standalone operations
- Serving as a trusted resource for employee and manager questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and employment practices
- Providing general administrative support across HR and office operations as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience and education
- Experience supporting payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR operations
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices
- Experience working with HR IS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
